Product Description (Amazon): The Ninja Professional Blender & Nutri Ninja Cups is a professional, high-powered kitchen tool with 1100 watts of power. Its XL 72 oz. Blender Pitcher (64 oz. max liquid capacity) features Total Crushing blades that blast through ice and frozen fruit in seconds for perfect ice crushing, blending, and controlled processing. Plus, its 16 oz. Nutri Ninja Cups with To-Go Lids make it easy to take delicious, nutrient-rich juices on the go. All parts are BPA free and dishwasher safe. Removal of the cup: Wipe the exterior of the cup clean. Holding the cup away from your body, carefully twist the Blade Assembly counter-clockwise to remove. If necessary, use a dish-towel or rubber gripper to get a better grip. Do not hit the cup or try to pry open as this may damage the cup or blade assembly.
PROS: Firstly, I love that it comes with the two smoothie cups + accessories. I use these cups almost daily as I can whip up the perfect sized smoothie in seconds. Secondly, I love the blades in the blender jar. They aren’t just at the bottom, they are also in the middle! The pour spout seals very soundly so there is no chance of anything spraying out (you’ll hear & feel it click into place). It also has a great safety feature within the top lid; it must be properly in place in order for it to turn on. So you know that any little hands will be safe and no chance of a lid coming off during use either. The smoothie cups also have their own safety locking feature so that it cannot be turned on unless it is inserted properly. Thirdly, the smoothie cups, lids, blender jar, and blade assembly are all dishwasher safe!
CONS: I really don’t have many cons with the main blender jar. I think it is a great size (there is lots of room for your margaritas!!) My main issue is with the smoothie cups. While they are very convenient, I have found the ridges inside of the cups to be a bit of a pain when it comes to cleaning. My other complaint is with the lids. I accidentally dropped on and part of the lid broke off. It’s still usable, but just in an awkward position for drinking.
2. Puréeing soups, sauces, etc.
3. Homemade bread crumbs.
4. Frozen blender drinks (it crushes ice like a hot damn!).
5. Granola bars.
You get the idea!
There is an insane amount of healthy & delicious recipes they provide as well! YUM!
T&T: My first tip would be to leave the lid on when pouring anything out; just pop open the pour spout. Depending on your previous blender, you may be used to removing the lid and then pouring. I did that the first time and the blade fell out with it! So I either use the pour spout or remove the lid and just hold the blade in place as I pour.
My trick for super easy cleaning; I just add some warm water about half-way or so and a drop of Dawn and let ‘er rip! Cleans it all up quick! Give it a rinse and leave the lid slightly off so it can dry properly and she’s ready to go again. You can also put in the dishwasher as mentioned above. Generally I prefer the quick wash aspect of it.
Last tip, make sure you never add anything HOT! It is still plastic. You don’t want to risk the chance of it cracking from the heat!
Now, I’d say it’s time to get busy blending…
How else are your milkshakes going to bring all the boys to the yard…..
All the best,
